    Uncertainty About a Prior Conviction

    March 4th, 2010 by admin

Seventeen years ago, when I was eighteen, I got into trouble with the law. As soon as I finished the post-arrest diversion program the court expuge record florida. Now I am applying for a job that requires a top-secret security clearance. I don’t know if I have to report this arrest and conviction on my forms. Apparently there are laws governing this, yet they don’t always apply to the federal government. I need to contact a lawyer and determine first if I have to report this and also if the federal government can deny clearance based on this offense. I would rather not put my boss through this process if I know beforehand it will be denied.
