Being bloated can be uncomfortable and embarrassing. Fortunately, there are some easy natural bloating remedies that you can use at home to quickly relieve the discomfort and get back to feeling like yourself again.
Bloating Due to Retaining Water
Ironically, if you are retaining water the best way to help your body get back on track is to drink more water. Although it seems counterintuitive, drinking more water will actually allow your body to release the water that it is holding onto, thus relieving the bloating. If you don’t like drinking water opt for green tea or cranberry juice instead. Both are natural diuretics that will help your body eliminate excess water.
Bloating Due to Gas
To get rid of bloating that is due to gas, try drinking fennel tea. It helps to eliminate the gas and eases the bloated feeling. If fennel is not an option you can also eat fresh mint or drink mint tea. Try boiling fresh mint leaves in water for about five minutes then strain the leaves out and drink the tea. This is particularly effective if you drink the tea after eating a meal.
