Tips For Teaching Old Dogs New Tricks
March 7th, 2010 by admin
Use the proper tone when communicating with your dog, use high and enthusiastic tone like the ones used for praising (i.e. “Good Dog!”). Use demanding and authoritative tone like the ones used for commands (i.e. “Sit!”). Use growly and low tone like the ones used for reprimanding (i.e. “Bad Dog!”). And always keep in mind to give a command only once.
This Boston Terrier training teaches your dog to listen the first time. Another important thing is hands off when giving a command. Touching or petting distracts from training. Recall (or “Come”) is the most pleasant of all commands for your dog.
