Technology is so amazing. There was a time when training for a trade or a career required becoming an apprentice, living close to your master, and working for years without pay. Now a person can get a college degree or even mechanical training right in their own home. Courses are available on the Internet or on CD. This allows for so much more flexibility than has ever been possible in the past. A person can train whenever they have the time, and even hold down a job while they do it. It is no longer necessary to sit in a classroom or seek out someone who already knows the trade you want to learn.
